My yarn came for my next project. All this Rowan Cotton Glace yarn will eventually become these Baby Bloomers. I've already done one pair for a friend who's having a baby and fell in love with them so much that I thought I would once again brave the size 1 and 3 needles and cotton yarn. I don't usually do cotton for baby items because it has to be air dried, but I figured these would be used when it's just too hot and you don't want to wear much. Cotton is breathable.

little things
I'm working on a secret project right now, but to hold you over (because I know you are all very captivated by what I do) here's a washcloth and a dishcloth I did earlier. Not very exciting or difficult, but they're nice to use.

I should technically call mine March Lady Sweater
February Lady Sweater
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Stone
Needles: Size 8 12 inch circular and 40 inch circular
So excited to have finished this sweater. It's a little big, but that could be a good thing after the baby's born. Even if it's not, I will still wear this and not just because I knit it, but also because I love it. It's the perfect sweater that can be worn throughout the year. I want to say something witty and fun about it to make you more interested, but the only words I have are that I love it. I'll love it even more when I'm not pregnant and can wear it without it looking crooked.
Since finishing this was my one goal for bedrest and it looks like I could be on it for three to four more weeks, I need to come up with more goals. Immediately.
One more photo for fun. I was going to take photos outside in natural light and really try to make it look awesome, but it's been raining since I finished it.

Why didn't anyone tell me?
March is National Craft Month. We're halfway through and I just found this out. I would have crafted so much more.

Dishcloths to pass the time
My needles came today which means that I will once again be working on my sweater, but I made dishcloths. I used a very simple pattern that I found at Design Sponge Online. So simple and easy which is why I was able to crochet 4 of them in one afternoon and evening.
Why the two colors on two of them you ask? (Okay, so maybe you didn't ask but let's pretend.) Simply because I ran out of yarn which was the whole point of this project. Using up stash yarn always makes Husband so happy until I go out and buy more.

Woo Hoo!
| From crafts 2009 |
This is a quick knit. Even with a lot of time on my hands, I've never finished the body of a sweater so quickly. Ever. I'm pretty happy with it too. It goes to just below my buttocks and seems rather cozy even though my pregnant stomach is sticking out of it right now. I'm waiting on the size 8 12 inch circulars to come before I can start the sleeves. I absolutely hate using dpn's unless I'm knitting socks. Until then I shall make Husband happy and do some dishcloths.
Here's a close up of the lace pattern.

Hello New Blog
I don't honestly think I'm important enough that everyone needs to know what I say, but I wanted one place for all the crafty things I make where you don't have to join a website. Obviously, then whoever wants to read it can. I'll try to be witty and make it as painless as possible.
Currently I'm working on The February Lady Sweater. I'd guess I'm 1/3 of the way through the body, but I still need to figure out how long to make it before I could say for sure. I have no photos of it or I would add them here and make you look at them. My only hope is to be done by the time I'm off the doctor mandated sloth for the pregnancy. I will feel like I accomplished something then, but I won't be sure if it's a quick knit or if I just had a lot of time on my hands. Also another reason for starting this blog.
If you have a Ravelry account, you can see all of my crochet/knit projects by going here.
