We had the wee one. A little boy. I prefer things to be private with my kids, so I don't want to say more.
I haven't even had time to go buy a button for those bloomers, but he's going to look so awesome in them come summertime.

Daniel's dishcloths
I actually finished the bloomers, I just have to get a button for the front of them. In the meantime I crocheted and knitted two dishcloths for Daniel. The bottom one is the crocheted one from the standby pattern. The top is called the Idiot's Dishcloth. I'm hoping it got it's name from being published in the Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting and Crocheting and not because somebody thinks it's so easy an idiot could do it. Not everybody can pick up on knitting or crocheting and they aren't necessarily idiots.
Monday I'm off bedrest so I'll have to get that button. Now I just have to figure out what to work on next.

oh the bloomers
I've lost all desire to finish these bloomers. Which is sad because I only have three rows left and the finishing work. I need to force myself to do it so I can move on to other things.
Instead of knitting I've become obsessed with looking at mid-century modern lounge chairs on ebay and going through baby clothes. I know I'm still missing a box of baby clothes. I can't find my favorite Blondie t-shirt or the outfit that says "One day I'll get Trashed at Prom." Oh, those non-cute clothes that I love so much. Oh, and celebrity gossip. Did you know Lindsay Lohan is in "absolute hell" over her breakup with Samantha Ronson? But apparently she's not feeling miserable enough to not sell her story to the tabloids. Good for me, bad for Samantha Ronson.

Doctor Mandated Sloth and effect on washcloths
My grandma was here all week helping out since the bedrest thing is still going on. It makes for a much cleaner house, but not so much blogging time. I don't like to be on the computer that much when she's visiting. I know I'm stuck sitting on the couch doing nothing, but I feel like I should at least try to be social. It also makes it hard to play Lexulous on Facebook. I'm sorry for being a slacker my Lexulous friends.
In the meantime, while I'm finishing up those bloomers, here are some washcloths. The patterns are both from the Lion Brand website. A quick search through the crochet patterns should get you there. If I weren't so lazy I would look them up myself, but the doctor did tell me to be lazy.

On top is the Grit Stitch Washcloth and on the bottom is the Almond Back Loop Washcloth
Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Lime
Hook: size F

I enjoy the Grit Stitch washcloth much more than the back loop one. It was a little harder to do, especially single crocheting into that turning chain of 1, but it makes for a nice thick washcloth. My daughter seems to really enjoy it too as she's already taken it and put it with her pile of washcloths. Becoming a klepto at such a young age.
