Oops
I totally forgot to post this, but that's okay since it really deserves its own post. My mom cross stitched this for me and I took it to Michael's to get framed. Both did an amazing job and I'm in awe of how realistic it looks.

Summer
With the exception of the heat, I do like summer. The fresh vegetables which make cooking so much fun and just the slow down of time because there's no school....it's awesome. This is what we did on Friday:

That's right: planes, trains and baby chicks. Those are the favorite things at the museum, but we also saw the YOU! exhibit, Main Street and drove the video game cars. A good day all around even though absolutely no crafting got done.

insert star wars them song here
Another Darth Vader bag. Made from a Threadless tee that I found on Ebay. I made one of these tees into a tote bag a while back, but since this was a smaller tee it was destined to become a smaller bag.

Measuring approximately 11 inches by 12 inches (the measurements always make the bag seem so tiny, but it's actually a very nice sized bag I assure you. If you don't believe me just take out a tape measure and measure it out), it has a flat bottom and cotton webbing straps.*

The inner fabric is Kokka Echino. I had never heard of it until it was featured on the Purl Bee and then I thought I must have some. I also have the camera fabric in purple stashed away for later use.
In other news I'm really really tired of rain and this is what we did yesterday:
*I'm sorry to sound like a terrible salesman, but I feel like you should have all the details.

Weekend
I suppose I should update this thing. Father's Day was really uneventful as I was sick the night before and into the morning. Poor guy had to make his own breakfast. He did get a wonderfully made alien card with a lot of "words" that aren't really readable. I love that Daughter likes crafting as much as me. She's had her own set of knitting needles since about the age of 2 and even though she can't quite get the hang of it she has figured out that you need 2 needles and that they somehow go together. I also have to have scrap yarn for her always.
But back to Father's day. Even though he had to cook his own breakfast he said he had a good day. We got him this book and he's now very excited about sending a video camera up in a balloon. The kids were in great moods all day so I still consider it better than Mother's Day ever is.

Things that happened or will be happening today in bullet point form because I'm lazy like that.
- The Salvation Army rejected my chairs because they were "too stained." They're really not that bad and could be easily reupholstered like I did when I got them so in reality I think they were just too lazy to carry them to the truck.
- Husband is going to be late. I didn't listen the excuses why.
- Son and Daughter have decided that every day is crabby day. They won't give any excuses as to why.
- I need sleep. So badly.
- I'm too lazy for all the html involved in Craftjuice Tuesday. You should all show me one thing that you like from the site in the comments. We'll call it a new way of doing Craftjuice Tuesday.
- I am working on three projects: the shawl, the jolly roger sweater and a necklace.
- I have ideas of putting crochet in resin.

wow
I so need to try this join. I hate weaving in ends so if this makes it happen less, I'm all about it. Why have I never known about this before?
I'm waiting for yarn to come in. I asked Husband for some ideas for Father's Day (some gifts I think up myself, but I'm too tired these days) and he said that he wanted another Jolly Roger sweater since he wore out his first one. So I'm just kind of keeping busy doing dishcloths until the yarn for that comes.

Craftjuice Tuesday
I haven't done one of these in forever. Usually because I forget it's Tuesday until it's not anymore. Search word was "monkey" and I was amazed by all the cool stuff that came up.

A new blog that I now follow is We Swap. If you have handmade goods and would like to swap them with fellow artists, this is totally the blog for you. I've yet to be brave enough to offer anything up, but I love seeing what other people are doing. Maybe one of these days I'll have some courage.
I'm totally in love with Hint water, but it's really hard to find around here. I've tried the store locator on their site and then I go to the store and it's not actually there. So now I'm looking up recipes to try to make my own. I already know how to make my own cucumber water, but not watermelon flavored.

- Watermelon water
- Orange and Green Apple (I just happen to have both of these on hand)
I know that I can also just cut up strawberries, mint or kiwi and let them soak.
