All about Son today

Diptic

Son was home sick from school today after waking three times last night.  Since I got very little sleep Husband took a sick day to help out (he also got me coffee in case you were wondering why I married him). We've enjoyed the day relaxing until my mom came to watch Son so that we could go to a parent-teacher conference.  Overall, he's doing well.  He listens, answers questions, and participates even when it's obvious he may not want to be.  There is still some concern with his lack of socialness; nothing that points to any type of disorder, just some introvertedness (I'm only half sorry I passed that on to him, there's loads of good stuff about being introverted - I hope he figures that out well before I did).  We'll all continue to work with him and hopefully get him to the point where he'll tell her some of the stuff I know he knows (like some letters) and starts to feel a little more comfortable.  I feel like his teacher is really on his side and rooting for him, which is part of the reason we chose this preschool and why I feel so comfortable dropping him off there.  So, yay (and thank you) for good teachers!

  1. My son is in college and still kind of quiet. He told me the other day he hates the profs who include class participation in grade calculation. As an engineering major, his focus is on what he needs to learn and the rest is pointless (to him). He wants to go to class and have the professor teach -- what a concept. Hope your little guy feels better soon.
