Two works in progress this week. I like to have multiple projects started on different sized needles to help with the hand going numb. I used to be much more monogamous with my projects, but not anymore. On top are some scalloped socks that I'm making; the colors in the photo are much brighter than in real life. It must have been something to do with the exposure, but I'm too lazy to try to fix it. I'm not using a pattern for them, instead I'm hoping I've learned something from all the sock making I've done for my mom (fingers crossed for me). The yarn is the same that I used for the scalloped wrist warmers; I wanted a nice thick pair of wool socks just in case winter comes back.
The bottom is another Fisherman's Pullover. I loved the first one that I made so much (but gave away) that I had to one for Son. I'm using Cascade EcoWool in a navy blue. This sweater goes so quickly, but I fear he won't be able to wear it until next winter. It's truly a sweater for the coldest of days.

Nice! The socks look a little like candy corn!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even think about that when I picked out the colors. Thanks!
