The school sweater is done and right on time for fall to hit. Saturday was high 70's and humid, today high of 60, so really perfect timing. The photos were taken with my phone because I wanted to take advantage of her saying that I could even take a picture. She not only let me knit her a school sweater, wore the school sweater, complimented the school sweater, but also let me take photos?! Be still my heart.
I dropped a stitch on the edge when knitting the front right of the cardigan, but I just worked it in since I didn't notice until I was ready to pick up stitches for the neck band. All the seams were sewn by that point (massive pain in the butt with this yarn), so I was not ripping out for a dropped stitch so I worked it in. This is why there's a bit of a gap between the first and second buttons (also, the way she's standing).
I was hoping this would fit her for a couple of years, but since she's grown like a weed over the last month, this will not be the case. The length on both the arms and body fit her perfectly right now, so I'm sure by next year they will be short. Maybe my luck will continue into next year and she'll let me make her another.
